The Hampton by Hilton Humberside Airport has 100 bright modern bedrooms, situated just off the A18 just a short walk from Humberside International Airport. We're just 15 minutes from the sprawling Lincolnshire Wolds and Humber Bridge giving easy access to East Yorkshire.

The Role:

This role is a maternity cover fixed-term contract and presents an ideal opportunity for an aspiring General Manager or an experienced interim General Manager to support the continued growth of the business during this period.  

As the General Manager, you will lead all aspects of hotel operations with a focus on excellence. Your unwavering passion for the hotel's success, coupled with your precision and meticulous attention to detail, will set the standard for your team. Reporting directly to the Group Operations Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving performance and strategy.

In this position, you will participate in monthly business reviews, presenting the hotel's performance to key stakeholders. Our company takes pride in maintaining our assets to the highest standards and being at the forefront of innovative ideas and concepts that keep us ahead of the competition.

We are seeking a dedicated leader who is deeply committed to the hotel's success. You will focus on the finer details to ensure that both the hotel and the team collaborate effectively and operate efficiently, maintaining the highest standards of service.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience as a Hotel Manager, Operations Manager or above.
  • Ideally from a Hilton-branded hotel environment.
  • Passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences and creating a people-first culture.
  • Confident and capable of challenging the status quo to drive improvement.
  • Experienced in navigating a multi-layered stakeholder environment (brand, owners, management).
  • Commercially astute, with a strong track record of leading, coaching, and developing successful teams.
  • Sound understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and key trading periods.
  • A natural brand ambassador who is visible, engaged, and active within the local community.
  • Embodies leaf HOSPITALITY’s core values: integrity, humanity, and transparency.
  • An inspiring communicator with high emotional intelligence and the ability to motivate and engage teams.
