About Elmers Court Hotel

Elmers Court Hotel is a stunning country house set in the heart of the New Forest, overlooking the Solent. Steeped in history and surrounded by acres of beautiful grounds, the hotel is about to embark on an exciting, large-scale refurbishment that will transform it into one of the South Coast’s premier luxury destinations.

This is a unique opportunity to join the leadership team at a pivotal moment in the hotel’s journey — shaping its future and redefining its position in the market.

The Role

We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Sales & Events Director to drive all aspects of commercial performance, business development, and event strategy. You will play a key role in relaunching Elmers Court post-refurbishment, creating exceptional experiences and building strong relationships with clients, partners, and the local community.

  • Account manage key accounts including Corporate, M&E, & Leisure
  • Develop team building and social business in line with strategy
  • Working with the Group Sales Director and Events Manager to set on property strategy for Sales and Events
  • Secure new business for the hotel in line with the strategy
  • Meet cross sell expectation of business across the Nici Group
  • Drive activities to promote the property in line with the budget
  • Negotiate and develop local agreements to build long lasting profitable corporate partnerships
  • Manage existing accounts and provide production and revenue reports as required.
  • Report on pro active activity in line with any group SOP’s
  • To achieve the total hotel budget through creating a sales culture throughout the hotel resulting in the generating of high quality sales leads across the business and then converting this to revenue that meets the needs of the business
  • Work closely with the Group Sales Director and Group Meetings & Events Sales Manager to maximize sales & events opportunities
  • Represent the hotel or group where required at local networking and industry events
  • Oversee the delivery of successful wedding open days
  • Coordination of agent and client showcase and familiarisation events
  • Work closely with the General Manager and wider leadership team to position the hotel effectively pre- and post-refurbishment
  • Oversee all aspects of event delivery to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and profitability
  • Responsible for overseeing all on property event procedures and implementing processes alongside the Group Events Manager where required both on property and group wide
  • Work alongside the Marketing team to ensure the property is presented at the highest level via all channels

About You

  • Proven experience in a senior sales or events leadership role within hospitality or luxury venues.

  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets.

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Creative thinker with the ability to identify new revenue streams and market opportunities.

  • Highly organised, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Passionate about delivering excellence and contributing to the success of a newly transformed landmark property.
