Description

Aims and Objectives

1.   To maintain a high level of service at all times in the hotel

2.   To be efficient leaders within the hotel managing the business and staff to a high degree of efficiency

3.   To deal with any problems which may arise from both staff and guests professionally, and to highlight these issues to the directors where required

4.   To prioritise daily tasks and help physically when needed

5.   To allocate staff within the building to areas where needed

6.   To continuously check all standards and act upon any shortfalls e.g.; name badges, uniforms, staff training, procedures and customer care

7.   To work efficiently as a management team and support eachother especially during stressful and demanding times

8.   To be in regular contact with the conference and banqueting team to be aware of any forthcoming business and its needs

9.   To accurately hand over your shift keeping the float correct at all times

10.        To ensure the following

·        Room servicing runs smoothly with effective service

·        Breakfast lunch and dinner services run smoothly and are managed effectively with no complaints

·        To check all meeting rooms after set ups and ensure all equipment and requests are dealt with efficiently

11.        To show fair leadership involving authority not letting staff dictate their terms

12.        To ensure all store rooms are kept  locked , clean and organised

13.        All valuable items and cash to be controlled and locked away (inclusive of AV room)

14.        All staff to be allocated tasks daily ensuring a productive workforce

15.        To ensure all faulty equipment is dealt with promptly

16.        To communicate any issue with the directors in management meetings

17.        To always promote a positive manner and help create a pleasant working environment to all junior members of staff

18.        To know the hotel Health and Safety and Fire regulations
