We are looking for a talented Stock Controller to join the fantastic Alba team.

Located near Harrods, Alba Restaurant embodies authentic Italian hospitality with a modern twist. The Stock Controller will play a key role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly by managing and maintaining stock levels across our venues. You will be responsible for inventory control, ordering supplies, and ensuring that all stock is accounted for and stored correctly. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach are essential for this role.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels for food, beverages, and non-food items (e.g., cleaning supplies, linens, etc.)
  • Conduct regular stock counts and audits to ensure stock accuracy and minimise wastage or theft
  • Place orders with suppliers based on forecasts and consumption trends, ensuring the timely delivery of goods
  • Check deliveries against orders and invoices, ensuring correct quantities and quality
  • Organise and manage storage areas to ensure stock is stored correctly and safely
  • Track the movement of stock, keeping detailed records of all stock transactions
  • Report discrepancies or concerns related to stock management to senior management
  • Work closely with kitchen, bar, and housekeeping departments to ensure stock availability and needs
  • Assist with the implementation of stock control procedures and systems
  • Monitor stock expiry dates and manage stock rotation practices (FIFO: First In, First Out)
Previous experience in stock control, inventory management, or a similar role within the hospitality industry is essential.
