Albert’s is an independent family-owned business with restaurants, bars and events spaces based in Greater Manchester. We currently have very busy successful sites in Manchester City Centre, Didsbury, Worsley and Standish. Albert’s Standish is the place to drink, dine, party and of course work in Greater Manchester. We are a large-scale venue showcasing a 200-cover restaurant, bar and three private event spaces. Our training is extensive and you will be constantly learning the ‘albert’s way’, in a modern, upbeat hospitality environment alongside our management team of eight other fantastic individuals.

The role:

We are looking for a second Assistant Events Manager with a hospitality background to run our private events, alongside our events team. The role will also include restaurant management as and when the business requires so experience in both areas is beneficial. If you are a highly customer-oriented person, with a passion for top quality food, drinks and service then we are looking for you.

Please note, this is not a sales role and is operational.

Your responsibilities:

- Manage the day to day running of private events in our event spaces (private events including but not limited to weddings and private celebrations such as birthdays, bavy showers, christenings)

- Work alongside our management team leading the team in our event spaces, restaurant and bar when required

- Demonstrate your leadership with a hands-on approach and effective communication, engaging and motivating the team

- Ensure the efficient flow of service and standards are constantly met during service

- Ensure the department is maintaining its agreed level of operating performance at all times

- Assist the Senior Management Team to ensure all departments and team members comply with health & safety, food hygiene and alcohol licensing regulations at all times

- Have an eye for detail, high standards and the ability to thrive in a high volume, fast paced hospitality environment

- Show passion for the brand, ensuring your team are as knowledgeable and confident as you are
