Job Purpose

To deliver outstanding service to AllBright members and guests, ensuring every interaction reflects the highest standards of hospitality and professionalism. This involves adhering to the Townhouse's standard operating procedures, maintaining attention to detail, and fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment that enhances the overall member and guest experience.

Outline of Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and escort members and guests to their tables, providing excellent customer service throughout their time in the Townhouse
  • Present menus and provide detailed information when requested such as portions, ingredients, and potential food allergies, including daily specials and recommendations
  • Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses or as directed
  • Up-sell additional products when appropriate
  • Take accurate food and drinks orders
  • Make and serve high quality coffee with exceptional coffee art, maintaining consistency
  • Serve beverages with the correct etiquette
  • Place orders through the POS
  • Serve food and drink orders with care and grace
  • Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
  • Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area including table maintenance
  • Deliver checks and collect bill payments
  • Carry dirty plates, glasses, and silverware to the kitchen for cleaning
  • Attend daily briefings to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (events and private hires)
  • Undertake assigned Front of House duties and provide excellent customer service at all events
  • Respond to changes in the Townhouse as dictated by the needs of the industry and/or company

 General Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate flexibility by taking on additional tasks and responsibilities within your role’s capabilities, including redeployment to different floors or areas as needed to support business demands and guest service requirements
  • Assist in training and mentoring new team members to ensure a smooth onboarding process
  • Attend all required training sessions to enhance skills and maintain service standards
  • Consistently follow the established steps of service to deliver exceptional experiences for guests
  • Foster a collaborative environment by supporting colleagues, maintaining a positive attitude, and contributing to a strong team dynamic
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Aid guests with additional needs, ensuring their comfort and ease when navigating the building
  • Open and close the floor in accordance with the designated checklists to maintain operational readiness
  • Perform any additional duties as reasonably assigned by management
  • Promptly escalate customer complaints to the manager on duty to ensure quick resolution

Person Specification:

  • Experience working in a 5* hospitality environment is preferred
  • Good understanding of food and beverage
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Warm, friendly, and approachable demeanour
  • Ability to work proactively and effectively during busy periods
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to go above and beyond for members and their guests, always delivering exceptional service
