Recently acquired by Another Place hotel collection, as an extension to the experience at Another Place, The Lake, our vision for The Brackenrigg Inn is to take the ethos from our hotel and extend it to this new pub with rooms - where warm hospitality and contemporary comfort combine.

Our Bar & Waiting Assistant role:

We’re looking for enthusiastic and energetic new team members with attention to detail, organisational skills to join our operations team at The Brackenrigg Inn. It is a varied role that will give you a taste of all the aspects that go into making a busy operation run like clockwork.

You’ll put our guests first and create a wonderful and welcoming environment.

As our Bar & Waiting Assistant you’ll be:

Restaurant and bar

• Welcoming guests in a warm, friendly, timely and relaxed yet professional manner
• Working in all areas of the restaurant and bar
• Working behind the bar
• Waiting on tables inside and outside
• Keeping the area you’re responsible for clean, tidy, and organised
• Helping with cutlery and support Kitchen Porter as needed
• Working together, as part of our committed, efficient, and dynamic team

Kitchen and behind the scenes

• Making sure that our chemical spray guns blue towel dispensers are filled and replenished
• Ensuring waste bins are emptied regularly
• Washing dishes and cutlery making sure all areas have enough to use (this will include using our dish washers)
• Polishing cutlery ready for our bar and waiting teams to use
• Cleaning and sanitising our kitchens and back of house corridor floors as needed
• Washing and polishing glasses
• Ensuring our bar team have enough products to use

The skills you’ll be sharing with us:

• Previous experience of working in a guest focussed or customer focussed environment
• A friendly and outgoing personality
• A passion for proving the best customer service possible
• Great attention to detail
• The ability to remain calm under pressure
• A wonderful team player
• Able to keep calm under pressure
• Responsible
• Good communicator with both guests and colleagues
