Our Pizza Chef Role:

We’re looking for a Pizza Chef to join our team within The Glasshouse.

Housing vine tomatoes, fresh chillies, and guests eager to taste our latest creations, The Glasshouse is a mixture of old and new. A Victorian-style structure perched near our vegetable and herb gardens, overlooking the lake, it captures the beauty of its surroundings timelessly.

With a pizza paddle in hand, you’ll be serving up classic Italian flavours with carefully selected ingredients – some of which are grown just a few steps away.

You’ll be a talented chef who adds a touch of culinary artistry to the rustic charm of The Glasshouse, celebrating our ingredients, and will craft a menu that combines locally sourced produce and traditional Italian flavours.

With freshly foraged herbs and artisanal cheeses, you’ll be delivering a truly authentic and memorable pizza experience at the centre of The Lake, creating memories for years to come.

As our Pizza Chef you'll be:

• Crafting and working with pizza dough daily, from prep through to service.
• Cooking high-quality pizzas throughout the day, keeping pace with service while maintaining consistency and care.
• Working closely with our hotel chefs to manage stock, support ordering, and keep the kitchen running smoothly.
• Keeping a clean, organised and efficient workspace in a fast-paced, open kitchen environment.
• Communicating clearly and confidently with the team to create a positive, collaborative atmosphere in the Glasshouse from day one.
• Taking pride in high standards, with a strong focus on food safety, hygiene and guest experience at all times. 

The skills you'll be sharing with us:

• Experience working with a wood-fired pizza oven, with a good understanding of heat control, timing and consistency
• A Food Hygiene certificate, with a strong commitment to maintaining excellent food safety standards
• A flexible approach to working hours, comfortable with varied shift patterns in a busy hospitality environment
• A genuine interest in food, with a passion for pizza and a desire to develop your skills further
• NVQ Level 1 & 2 in Professional Cookery (or equivalent) as a minimum
