Finance and Operations Administrator – Another Place, The Lake | Part-time, 24 hours (up to 5 days per week)

Our Finance and Operations Administrator role

Reporting to the General Manager and Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in supporting our finance and operational processes, helping maintain effective systems across finance, health and safety, and sustainability.

Working closely with Finance and a variety of departments across the business, you’ll also support with accurate reporting, effective procedures and the smooth running of day-to-day operations. You’ll be organised, proactive and confident working with team at all levels.

This is a part-time role, working 24 hours per week, with flexibility to select set working hours across (and up to) five days.

As our Finance and Operations Administrator, you’ll be:

  • Ensuring accurate and timely operational information and working closely with our Finance team, presently based off-site.
  • Providing project coordination and administrative support.
  • Preparing expense summaries for our Finance team.
  • Collating supplier invoices and submitting payment requests, expense forms and credit card summaries for processing.
  • Overseeing daily and weekly banking, Loomis collections, petty cash and expense records.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for Agilisys queries and resolving finance system issues.
  • Working with Heads of Department to resolve issues and share information effectively.
  • Supporting compliance with statutory requirements, company policies and health and safety legislation.
  • Maintaining health and safety documentation, overseeing RiskProof administration and monitoring audit progress.
  • Recording accidents and incidents, following up on actions and keeping risk assessments up to date with Heads of Department.
  • Supporting mandatory team training and health and safety reporting.
  • Attending relevant health and safety, revenue and Heads of Department meetings, taking accurate minutes.
  • Helping organise team events and supporting our journey towards B Corp accreditation.

You’ll bring:

  • Previous experience in an operational environment.
  • Confidence working with senior team.
  • Experience with health and safety compliance.
  • A strong understanding of accounting processes, financial reconciliation and accurate budget coding.
  • Experience collating and reporting weekly revenue data.
  • The ability to set, monitor and work within budgets.
  • Strong organisational, communication and documentation skills.
  • A proactive, team-focused approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • An understanding of sustainability and responsible purchasing, with a genuine interest in looking after our team and planet.
  • Enthusiasm for our B Corp journey and willingness to take part in related initiatives and workshops.
  • An interest in supporting team events and a willingness to complete mandatory training.
  • GCSEs in English and Maths at grades A–C, or equivalent.

Experience participating in a B Lab course would be beneficial but is not essential.
