The Role...
Three years and £10m in the making, The Aqua Club at The Headland is a no-luxury-spared swimming and wellbeing complex offering an incredible 6 pools. The building and its sleek curves soothe the senses while Cornish stonework celebrates the iconic landmark location on the edge of the Atlantic.
We are looking for a passionate, energetic and professional individual to take over the day-to-day management of this exceptional complex and the guest experience in the role of Assistant Wellness Manager. You will have already worked in the Leisure or Spa industry and have proven experience managing a 5* service alongside our H&S and pool plant responsibilities.
You will be responsible for the delivery of the highest levels of customer service to all users, guests and members of the Aqua Club and will be the first and main point of contact for all queries within the facility. Although you will have no direct line management experience, you will be responsible for overseeing and supervising the operational team supporting the Aqua Club experience.
Our fabulous team are important to us. Which is why we offer you use of the facilities including the gym, the thermal journey, and the aqua club for you to relax and enjoy the beautiful spa for yourself. Staff meals are provided daily, and we have reoccurring visits from the local ice cream van and coffees and cake van with free perks for all staff.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Operations Management: Adhere to the systems and procedures in place to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Aqua Club, making suggestions for improvements where this is not fit for purpose.
Guest Care: Greet and welcome guests and visitors to the Aqua Club, ensuring that the service offered is personal and memorable.
Supporting our People: To play an active role in supporting and being available to the Aqua Club team and HODs/Supervisors as required.
Learning & Development: Contribute to the creation of a culture in your team where people are not afraid of learning from small failures and are happy to contribute their ideas.
Health, Safety & Compliance: Make sure all things related to the Aqua Club is done properly and in accordance with all laws and applicable codes, including Health & Safety legislation.
Salary and Contract
This is a full-time permanent position based on a 45-hour working week including weekends and bank holidays.
In line with UK Immigration and Employment Law, only applicants eligible to live and work in the UK need apply. Proof of ID will be required in the form of a Passport, National Identity Card or Birth Certificate.
