Archie’s Atomic premiere venue is more than just great casual dining, it’s an experience destination centred around a 5,000 sq. ft roller rink, arcade, shake bar & ice cream parlour. Get your skates on and roll into an Archie’s-themed amusement venue where every bite is met with excitement, every sip is savoured with laughter, and every moment is infused with fun!

As a skate marshal, you will provide a safe and interactive environment for our guests. You will be responsible for our guest experience upon entry to the venue and until they leave; greeting, checking in, skate safety checks, briefings and rink time as well as checking back with guests before they exit the venue to ensure they've had an enjoyable time.

• Pay: £12.50 per hour
• Up to 30 hours per week
• Location: Archie’s Atomic, Trafford Palazzo

This is a permanent role that will require availability to work shift patterns that include late evenings and weekends. 

Skate Marshal Responsibilities include:

• Carrying out safety checks of the rink before the store opens to guests.
• Cleaning guest areas and ensuring cleanliness checks around the venue are consistent throughout the shift.
• Welcoming and checking in guests.
• Skate maintenance - Ensure the skates are clean and presentable, and that they are safe and fit for use.
• Equipment - checking skates and skating area has been cleaned and ready for use at the beginning and end of shift. All pairs of skates matched up after use and before the end of the shift.
• Briefing guests on the benefits of using protective pads as they collect their skates and protective equipment.
• Engage with guests and encourage them while they are on the rink, offering assistance when needed.
• Ensuring all guests leave wanting to return.
• Support with Front of House, Host and Reception duties.
• Safety briefing - guests should be briefed and must have signed the waiver before check in.
• Encourage and teach beginners how to skate upon entry to the rink, while observing all skaters during their sessions.
• Promote safe skating and be quick to respond to any falls or incidents.

Requirements and Skills:

• Previous experience in a customer facing role in leisure venues or hospitality.
• Knowledge of skate instruction and rink safety.
• Be passionate about roller skating and a confident skater
• Have strong organisation skills
• Be guest satisfaction orientated
• A can-do attitude, a sharp eye for detail and pride in your work
• Most of all, an enthusiasm for getting the job done

Due to the nature of this role, a clear DBS will be required. This will be processed at offer stage.
