Previous leadership experience within hospitality is required however this does not necessarily have to be in an Assistant Manager role, if you were a strong Supervisor or Team Leader this should not stop you from applying for this opportunity to join Archie’s, if you can demonstrate a can-do, level headed-customer focused attitude and willingness to learn we’ll teach you the rest… no one else does it the Archie’s way anyway!

 

As an Assistant Manager you will work closely with the General manager and the rest of the management team to help grow sales and deliver profit. An Assistant Manager’s role within any Archie’s store is to stand in for the General Manager as required, lead from the front and create the best possible experience for our customers in terms of atmosphere, vibrancy and cleanliness.

     Pay: £25,000 - £28,000

     Contractual Hours: 40 hours per week

     Location: Mancheser

     Assistant Managers will be expected to work shift patterns that include late evenings and weekends.

An Assistant Manager’s responsibilities include maintaining high levels of productivity, food and customer-service standards.

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need management skills and be experience in a fast paced hospitality environment. Applicants should be confident in managing both front and back of house. It is important that you are confident in overseeing the main floor, to encourage upselling, checking-in with customers to obtain feedback and balance seating capacity during varying levels of trade. Back of house management experience is also important as you will be playing an active role in Health & Safety and food hygiene practices. As an Assistant Manager at Archie’s you will also be assisting in the recruitment of both back and front team members, set work schedules and organise the team.


We’ll expect you to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will ensure operations run smoothly and customers have a superb experience while visiting Archie’s.

 

All Managers are required to undergo a DBS which will be processed at the offer stage.

Assistant Manager responsibilities include:


  •       Co-ordinate the day-to-day operations within your store in the absence of the General manager
  •       Follow all cash handling procedures in place
  •       Co-accountability for overall business performance which includes sales, stock & labour
  •       Delivering superior service and maximising customer satisfaction
  •       Responding efficiently and accurately to resolve customer dissatisfaction in a timely manner
  •       Organise and supervise shifts and always striving for perfection
  •       Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations is met, completing all daily & weekly checklists
  •       Ensure all of our customers receive food and drink prepared to brand standards
  •       Control operational costs and identify measures to reduce waste
  •       Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
  •       Promote the brand, bringing innovative idea’s to Archie’s. Promoting your business, standing out from the competition including social media ads & promotions
  •       Motivate, mentor and provide feedback to your team members & team leaders to achieve store targets set
  •       Implement policies that will maintain future operations at Archie’s
  •       Overseeing investigations with support from Archie’s Human Resources team (full training will be provided don’t worry we don’t need an HR guru)

 

Requirements and skills


  •       Proven experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader or similar role
  •       An experienced Hospitality leader who is looking to take the next step in their career journey
  •       Proven customer service experience in a management role
  •       Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and staff
  •       Familiarity with restaurant management software in their previous role
  •       Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
  •       The hunger to learn, develop and progress
