Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Design Manager to join our construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career professional with a degree in Construction Management who is looking to develop a career in design coordination and project delivery within the construction industry.

Working alongside experienced Design Manager and Construction team, you will assist in coordinating the design process from pre-construction through to project completion, ensuring designs are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with client requirements.

This role is fully office based role (5 days) at the Arora Group head office in Heathrow Area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with managing and coordinating the design process on construction projects
  • Review drawings, specifications, and technical submissions
  • Liaise with architects, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams
  • Support the Design Manager in monitoring design programmes and deliverables
  • Attend design meetings and prepare meeting minutes/actions
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations, health & safety standards, and project specifications
  • Help identify and resolve design-related issues during project delivery
  • Maintain accurate design documentation and records
  • Support communication between commercial, planning, and construction departments

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree in Construction Management, Architecture or related construction discipline 
  • Strong interest in design management and construction project delivery
  • Good understanding of construction processes and building regulations
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM processes would be advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
