A bit about what you will do... 

The Activity Assistant supports the delivery of engaging, inclusive and enjoyable activities for hotel guests and residents. Working closely with the wider hotel team, this role assists in planning, organising and running a varied programme of recreational and social activities tailored to corporate, leisure and residential guests. The Activity Assistant helps to create memorable experiences while ensuring activities are delivered safely, professionally and within budget.

  • Assist in planning, organising and delivering a varied programme of daily activities, events and seasonal initiatives for guests of all ages.
  • Support the promotion of the activity schedule through displays, digital platforms and direct guest engagement.
  • Encourage guests and residents to participate in meaningful and enjoyable activities during their stay.
  • Liaise with hotel departments and external partners to help coordinate events and ensure smooth delivery.
  • Prepare, set up and monitor activity spaces, ensuring compliance with health, safety and company policies.
  • Maintain activity supplies and equipment, tracking stock levels and supporting budget control.
  • Provide friendly, professional and efficient service while responding to guest requests and special projects.
  • Assist with themed events, games, sports, crafts and family-focused activities, including holiday programmes.
  • Complete required training (including first aid and DBS clearance where applicable) and attend team meetings.
  • Support wider hotel operations during quieter activity periods and contribute positively as an active member of the hotel team.

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills. Very good at multi-tasking and remaining calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills with a high standard of written and spoken English and a secondary language preferred. 
  • Ability to take initiative and deal with unexpected situations and last-minute changes.
  • A smart and professional appearance. 
  • You value being part of a team and supporting your colleagues. 
  • Most of all, you will have an approachable, positive, and proactive manner.
  • Experience in a similar role within a 5-star hotel is a significant advantage.
