Great opportunity for professional Tax specialist!

Arora is a large, privately owned group of companies with a portfolio of owner operated hotels, multi-let office investments and development sites. The group is responsible for a combined turnover of over £270m and assets valued above £1 billion. Due to the continual growth of the business an exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified tax professional to join the company’s central finance and tax team.

This role will be fully based at the Arora Group Head Office in Heathrow Area. We are considering application for part time opportunity (4 days per week).

The role is varied and covers on corporate tax, property tax and VAT. The key responsibilities are working with the tax team on assisting:

Duties will include:

  • Support the tax compliance process from preparation to submission to HMRC covering both UK corporation tax and Non-resident landlord returns for circa 120 companies.
  • The groups VAT, PAYE and CIS compliance
  • Liaising with HMRC on all correspondence
  • Preparing the relevant tax disclosures in the annual statutory accounts
  • Working closely with the central finance team and tax advisors on projects and transactions
  • To strengthen the relevant tax controls and awareness within the business
  • Managing the group’s tax risk management

Key skills

  • Qualified ACA or CTA with strong tax compliance experience or a strong ATT professionals and CTA finalists
  • Specific knowledge and experience in corporate tax, income tax and VAT
  • Ideally must have experience in the property sector
  • Experience of managing large complex groups
  • Demonstrate good accounting knowledge
  • Must be a self-starter, not afraid of working under pressure, and use their initiative to solve problems and suggest solutions
  • Good communication skills in verbal and written
