Our five-star hotel includes 493 bedrooms, a diverse dining selection, spa facilities, state-of-the-art conference and meeting rooms, including the UK's largest pillar-free ballroom.  

A bit about what you will do...  

The Head of Marketing sets and drives the marketing strategy, with a focus on creativity, innovation, and excellence, you will be implementing the hotel’s marketing strategy to align with the overall business objectives and achieve targeted results across all revenue streams.

  • Develop and deliver a strategic Marketing & Communications plan for Rooms, F&B, Spa and M&E, aligned to the business calendar, with a strong focus on transient leisure in Summer and Winter.
  • Activate a balanced mix of organic and paid marketing across always-on, campaign-led and ad hoc initiatives.
  • Manage the approved marketing budget set by the Group Marketing & Communications Director, ensuring effective allocation across all segments.
  • Lead, support and motivate the marketing team to collaboratively achieve annual KPIs across online, offline, third-party and partnership channels.
  • Track performance using a balanced scorecard of annual KPIs, ensuring monthly targets are consistently met.
  • Manage commercial partnerships to ensure strong return on investment and alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee all in-house and onsite communication channels, ensuring activity is scheduled and delivered in line with the annual marketing calendar.
  • Work closely with the Quality and Brand Manager and IHG to ensure all marketing collateral complies with current brand standards.
  • Drive digital engagement through email marketing, content management and social media, ensuring database growth, effective segmentation, up-to-date content and a consistent brand tone of voice.

More about you... 

  • Bachelor’s degree, higher education qualification or equivalent in marketing or a related field preferred.
  • Marketing experience within hospitality, tourism or destination marketing.
  • Meetings & events marketing experience desired.
  • Strong leadership experience, able to motivate and drive a team within a fast environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen - to be able to input and influence products, offers and analyse return on investment of paid marketing activities.
  • Partnership experience desirable but not essential.
  • Complete fluency and confidence in written and spoken English, and ability to write compelling and original copy.
  • Organised, meticulous, reliable and strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to multi-task and keep-up-to-date with progress of several projects at a time.
