A bit about what you will do...  

The Head Painter will be hands on with the engineering team and assist’s in maintaining and improving the Fairmont Windsor Park brand and hotel to the highest of standards. 

The job is to help maintain the building and grounds to the Fairmont brand standards without compromising the guest experience.  In order to deliver on this promise, it all starts with the right attitude and eagerness to provide seamless service to our guests at every opportunity. 

Assist the Chief Engineer to ensure a smooth and efficient operations of the engineering department.

  • To co-operate and communicate with your colleagues, supervisors and Heads of Departments to ensure efficient inter-departmental teamwork and to share best practices.
  •  To undertake the daily, weekly or monthly checklists from CAFM and guest reactive work via the Knowcross system.
  •  To follow a PPM schedule and pre plan where possible works in advance to allow a smooth operation and no direct issues within other departments.
  • To assist in monthly walk arounds with the Chief Engineer and Deputy Chief Engineer to establish a priority list of works for the month ahead. To take into account a list of high touch areas and try to minimize the amount of time spent working here.
  •  To help develop the painters under the head painter and bring them on to an improved standard across all aspects of decorating.
  • To keep an account of stock and put in orders before other paint runs out, so we don’t need to wait for more stock to come in.
  • To assist in interviews for any open positions under the head painter to ensure we get the right candidate for the role.
  •  To look out for any new and innovate paint or ideas that can help the hotel and team in anyway.

  • Proven experience in maintenance
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in similar positions
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A positive, proactive attitude.
