A bit about what you will do...

Arora Group is looking for an innovative and passionate Group Marketing & Communications Director to join the Arora Group commercial team. The group owns a portfolio of 13 hotels ranging from economy to luxury, and with this role is looking to lead the marketing & communications function with the goal of increasing direct revenue from the hotels.

  • Drive the short- and long-term marketing and communications strategies for all hotels, covering all business segments, with a key focus on the five-star properties. Working very closely with the on-property marketing teams to set the direction and budgets to achieve business objectives.  
  • Support the development of the marketing strategies and plans for new hotel openings, driving cross department integration and collaboration.
  • The overall goal for all the hotels is to drive direct revenue from the hotel websites, therefore the digital strategies need to enable this through conversion optimisation, SEO, elevating content on the websites, among other tactics.
  • Optimise any paid advertising campaigns for the hotels via PPC, paid social, print where relevant, etc.
  • Continually audit and improve the content quality, accuracy, user experience, design, structure, and conversion rates of all the websites.
  • Establish short and long-term brand partnership relationships with like-minded brands to strengthen the authenticity of the different brands while increasing brand recognition and expand customer base.
  • Develop PR and communications strategies for the relevant hotels to get press and influencer coverage in key online and print publications.
  • Calculate and report on ROI of all paid activity and support hotel teams with analytics insight where possible.
  • Analyse monthly and yearly key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of all marketing, creating reports, and providing actionable insights to management.
  • Work hand-in-hand with both the Arora Group and hotel marketing teams regarding overall content strategy, ideation and execution of plans and campaigns.
  • Work closely with several different global brand teams and their in-house website agencies to keep developing the websites where possible.
  • Where OTAs and GDS systems are used as part of the distribution mix, ensure that these channels are accurate and optimized, working in close collaboration with the revenue management teams.
  • Act as brand guardian across all brands and be at the forefront of quality control.
  • Offer strong leadership, mentoring, and guidance to the team.

More about you...

  • Minimum of 10-15 years of relevant hotel marketing and communications experience.
  • Educated to degree level or relevant digital marketing qualification.
  • Strong analytical skills, data driven thinking and solid knowledge of website analytics tools.
  • Strong knowledge of how to optimize strategy and conversion.
  • Exceptional eye for detail in line with Arora Group’s and global hotel brands’ expectations.
  • Good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with other departments.
  • Self-motivated, strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to keep growing as a marketing professional.
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to deal with people at all levels.
