The 45 meeting rooms include a flexible ballroom accommodating up to 1,300 delegates. 

A bit about what you will do...  

Plant Technicians are responsible for maintaining the plant and machinery that keep the hotel operating safely and efficiently, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance. The role often involves working independently, acting as an escalation point for complex issues, responding promptly to emergencies, and maintaining accurate records. A strong knowledge of HVAC and building systems is required, with a focus on preventative maintenance to minimise disruption to guests while ensuring full compliance with health and safety and statutory requirements.

  • Maintain plant and equipment to a high standard with strong attention to detail, professionalism and respect for guest privacy.
  • Prioritise and complete all tasks in line with departmental, hotel and statutory standards, within agreed timeframes.
  • Carry out routine plant duties including filter cleaning, air conditioning repairs, temperature control, plant room housekeeping and BEMS fault finding.
  • Manage and complete weekly, monthly, six-monthly and annual planned preventive maintenance (PPM) across the hotel.
  • Support energy reduction initiatives through well-maintained equipment, effective BEMS scheduling and recommendations for new plant.
  • Comply fully with all relevant health and safety regulations, addressing hazards immediately.
  • Assist and coordinate with sub-contractors during repairs and fault finding on plant and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work completed, inspections, inventory of parts, tools and spares.
  • Respond promptly to emergency repairs affecting guest rooms, public areas and hotel services, including out-of-hours call-outs.
