Senior Controller (Finance)

Location: Zurich, Switzerland

About the Role

Artfarm Services AG is seeking a commercially minded Senior Controller to support the financial performance and strategic development of our hospitality operations. This role will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting, driving business reviews with operational teams, supporting the budgeting and forecasting process, and providing actionable insights to improve performance across the business.

The successful candidate will combine strong analytical capabilities with a hands-on approach, working closely with site management and senior stakeholders to enhance decision-making and deliver business results.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare and consolidate monthly financial reports for operational sites and senior leadership.
• Produce management reporting and board-level reporting packs with clear commentary on business performance.
• Monitor key financial and operational KPIs, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods.

Business Partnering

• Lead regular business review meetings with site management teams.
• Challenge and support operational leaders to improve financial performance.
• Translate complex financial data into meaningful business insights and recommendations.
• Partner with stakeholders across operations and finance to drive commercial decision-making.

Planning & Budgeting

• Coordinate and support the annual budgeting process across multiple sites.
• Assist in the preparation of forecasts and long-term financial plans.
• Develop financial models to support business initiatives, investments, and strategic decisions.

Business Planning & Projects

• Prepare ad hoc business cases and financial analyses.
• Evaluate new opportunities, operational initiatives, and investment proposals.
• Support special projects and strategic initiatives as required by senior management.

Experience

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a Controlling, FP&A, Finance, or a similar analytical finance role.
• Experience within hospitality, hotels, restaurants, leisure, or a service-oriented business environment is highly desirable.
• Experience working with multiple locations or business units would be an advantage.
• Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to translate data into practical recommendations.
• High attention to detail combined with strong problem-solving abilities.

Languages

• Fluent German and English are required.
• Additional languages are an advantage.
