We are recruiting for an Estate Supervisor to provide quality service to our guests and colleagues, in line with the Forbes Five Star standards and The Red Carnation Hotels standards

Key responsibilities of the Estate Supervisor will include (but not limited to):

  • To welcome the guests on arrival at all times in a warm and friendly manner, using guest/member name where possible. 
  • Arrange for agreed services and products to be available to the guest in a timely and efficient manner.
  • To check the daily Time Sheet/Function sheets and other correspondence when you come on duty to ensure that you are fully familiar with all incoming business/activity bookings/functions/special requests etc.
  • To be fully familiar with the VIP list and all function sheets so to ensure that the Guest receives a seamless experience.
  • To create a Personal activity plans for guests, groups and families.
  • To be able to introduce a ‘WOW’ factor into services provided – to think ahead, use your initiative to ensure that guests receive that ‘extra element’ of personal care.
  • To assist the Estate Manager in devising and executing an activities program that reflects the ethos and standards at Ashford Castle/RCH.
  • Assist front desk at peak times with booking and activity advice for family’s or large groups speeding up check in possess.
  • To liaise with Management in relation to special events, promotions, occasions - providing support and upselling opportunities where possible.
  • To objectively review the services offered and look at ways of stream-lining systems, procedures and help implement these.
  • To work in conjunction with Management in the organisation and smooth running of team building events, special events, and promotional occasions – devising the operational plan for the various elements necessary.
  • To be fully familiar with all activities, rates, services available for Guests.


The ideal candidate for the Estate Supervisor position should:

  • Have a friendly & outgoing personality
  • Have previous experience in a similar role, desirable, but not essential.
  • Must have a full clean driver's license.
  • Experience in leading a team.
  • Be enthusiastic & flexible (may need to work 5 days over 7 day period, inclusive of some weekends).
  • Have strong communication skills.
  • Have strong attention to detail.
  • Be legally eligible to work in Ireland.
  • Have the ability to handle busy situations and manage your workload effectively.
