We are currently recruiting for a Duty Manager to deliver exceptional service to our guests in line with Forbes Five Star standards and The Red Carnation Hotel Collection’s commitment to excellence. This role is key in ensuring every guest is welcomed with the warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail that defines our brand. Key Responsibilities of the Duty Manager include:

  • Overseeing daily hotel operations, coordinating with relevant Heads of Department to ensure all areas are appropriately staffed and organised to meet business demands.

  • Maintaining full awareness of all hotel activities, including on-site functions, VIP arrivals, and special events. This includes hosting daily function sheet meetings and planning accordingly to ensure every guest receives exceptional service and personal attention.

  • Managing and upholding service and product standards across all departments, taking corrective action when necessary to maintain quality.

  • Maintaining a strong front-of-house presence during peak times such as breakfast, check-in/out, lunch, group arrivals, and dinner service, engaging with guests to ensure satisfaction.

  • Supporting daily operations in a hands-on, proactive manner, leading by example and assisting wherever needed.

  • Promptly addressing guest issues or complaints and ensuring Senior Management is informed of any relevant matters requiring further action or follow-up.

  • Ensuring strict adherence to all Health & Safety and Security procedures within the property.

  • Consistently delivering the highest levels of guest care and attention, anticipating guest needs, and going above and beyond to exceed expectations.



The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous experience in a similar role within a 5-star hospitality environment.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Show strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.

  • Possess proven leadership and people management abilities.

  • Be capable of managing a busy workload and performing well under pressure

  • Have a friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.

  • Be enthusiastic, flexible, and available to work five days over a seven-day period, including some weekends.

  • Be legally eligible to work in Ireland.
