Description

Austin Proper Hotel & Residences is looking for a highly motivated Night Manager. This 32-story modern high-rise includes 244 rooms and a limited collection of 99 branded luxury residences and penthouse for sale. Amenities include two rooftop pools, wellness center and spa and three food & beverage destinations driven by McGuire Moorman Hospitality.

Reporting to the Hotel Manager, the Night Manager is the first point of contact for guests on the overnight shift. The Night Manager provides and ensures an excellent and memorable first impression.

Job Overview
• Assume responsibility for supervision of the Hotel property and all Colleagues on the overnight shift in the absence of department heads
• Communicate daily with department heads regarding areas of concern

• Maintain good communication and work relationship in all hotel areas and with internal and external guests
• Resolve any guest or property related situation and manages the flow of questions and directs guests within the lobby
• Evaluate Guest satisfaction levels and monitor trends with a focus on continuous improvement
• Oversee the daily closing of accounts
• Successfully execute departmental and hotel policies (to include but not limited to relocation procedures, safe deposit box procedures, auditing accuracy of cards with proper signatures, key control procedures, accurate billing, cashiering, safety, lost/found policy, etc.)
• Foster and maintain strong, positive relationships with team members across all departments
• Proficient in property management systems
• Assist other departments wherever necessary

Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of Front Desk experience in a luxury or lifestyle hotel environment
• Flexibility to work overnight and weekend shifts
• Able to work under pressure
• Dependable and detail-oriented
• Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills
• Proficient in Windows, Office, and property management systems highly desirable

Education
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
