Staff Accountant


Description
Austin Proper Hotel & Residences is looking for a professional Staff Accountant. This 32-story modern high-rise includes 244 rooms and a limited collection of 99 branded luxury residences and penthouse for sale. Amenities include two rooftop pools, wellness center and spa and three food & beverage destinations driven by McGuire Moorman Hospitality.

The Staff Accountant prepares, develops and reviews the accounting and financial information for the property, as well as provides a strong level of support to the accounting team. Specializations required in accounts payables, accounts receivables and general cashier.

Job Overview
• Answer all vendor inquiries and invoice vendors on a monthly basis
• Oversee all aspects of Accounts Payable and prepare Month-End reconciliations of Accounts Payable
• Review month-end reporting package for data validation
• Enter and organize Purchase Orders and Invoices, ensuring all appropriate backup is included
• Process weekly payroll and audits
• Prepare check payments, obtaining authorizing signatures and filing
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications
• 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role in hospitality
• Working knowledge of Opera and ADP preferred
• Must be self-directed, motivated and demonstrate exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and openly in all interactions
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, along with demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment with tight deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to work with maximum accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail

Education
Bachelor’s degree required.
