Storeroom Clerk
Description
Austin Proper Hotel & Residences is seeking a Storeroom Clerk. This 32-story modern high-rise will include 244 rooms and a limited collection of 99 branded luxury residences and penthouse for sale. Amenities include two rooftop pools, wellness center and spa and three food & beverage destinations driven by McGuire Moorman Hospitality.
Responsibilities
• Perform storeroom activities according to accepted procedures, verifies receipt of materials and supplies as specified on purchase order documents
• Assist in receiving products and stocking the items within the storeroom
• Assist the Purchasing Manager and F&B Management with taking inventory of the storeroom in order to make an accurate order of product
• Maintain a clean environment in the storeroom
Requirements
• 1 year of experience in a similar position in Hotel/Restaurant operations
• Thorough knowledge of meat, fish, produce and grocery specifications and standard grading classifications
• Able to prioritize multiple tasks and approach hotel staff and vendors with professional courtesy
• Organizational skills are required to maintain records, inventories, and storerooms
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work flexible schedule - willing and able to work shift duties that may include events, nights, weekends and holidays
Education
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
