Description
Austin Proper Hotel & Residences is seeking a Chef de Cuisine to oversee the culinary operations at the Landmark Restaurant. This 32-story modern high-rise includes 244 rooms and a limited collection of 99 branded luxury residences and penthouse for sale. Amenities include two rooftop pools, wellness center and spa and three food & beverage destinations driven by McGuire Moorman Hospitality.

Job Overview
• Oversee the culinary operations and management of a culinary staff and heart-of-the-house employees
• Provide guidance and direction for all day-to-day operations
• Directly oversee the hiring, training, coaching, development and discipline for culinary staff
• Plan and manage the procurement, production, preparation, and presentation of all food in a safe, sanitary and cost-effective manner
• Ensure compliance with food handlers and sanitation standards
• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, procedures, and brand standards
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly management administrative duties including operations reports, financial documentation, human resources/staff management paperwork, standard operating procedures, safety and sanitations checklists, and ordering and inventory documentation

Qualifications
• 3 years’ experience in a similar position in a fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate the team
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Excellent communication skills

Education
Culinary Degree or Equivalent Training
