Description
Austin Proper Hotel & Residences is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager. This 32-story modern high-rise will include 244 rooms and a limited collection of 99 branded luxury residences and penthouse for sale. Amenities include two rooftop pools, wellness center and spa and three food & beverage destinations driven by McGuire Moorman Hospitality.

Reporting directly to the Director of Housekeeping, the Housekeeping Manager oversees housekeeping functions and staff daily to ensure property guest rooms, public space and employee areas are clean and well maintained. S/he directs and works with the Housekeeping team to successfully execute all housekeeping operations. Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the department.

Job Overview
• Establish effective and clear guidelines ensuring housekeeping team understands expectations and parameters
• Ensure guest rooms and all accommodations, public areas and colleague areas are cleaned according to brand standards
• Create, maintain and ensure compliance with all housekeeping standards and procedures
• Assist with purchasing supplies, inventory controls, supplies, chemicals and equipment
• Direct associates to strive for continuous improvement and excellence in all areas of responsibility
• Adhere to an effective inspection program including rooms, public areas, associate work areas, storage areas and laundry areas.
• Understand and communicate to colleagues the operating and maintenance procedures of all departmental equipment
• Effectively respond to and handle guest problems and complaints

Qualifications
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role in a luxury or lifestyle hotel
• Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organization & time management skills
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
• Flexible schedule - Willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, weekends and holidays

Education
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
