Opis
Austin Proper Hotel & Residences is looking for an experienced Pastry Sous Chef. This 32-story modern high-rise will include 244 rooms and a limited collection of 99 branded luxury residences and penthouse for sale. Amenities include two rooftop pools, wellness center and spa and three food & beverage destinations driven by McGuire Moorman Hospitality.

Responsibilities
Lead in managing production schedule and plating specifications
Develop Seasonal dessert menus
Manage, coordinate and train the team engaged in pastry production
Ensures and maintains the productivity level of the pastry team
Establish working schedule and maintenance of quality standards
Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
Communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and front of house staff
Establish and maintain open and collaborative relationships with colleagues and helps ensure colleagues do the same within the team
Use interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others

Requirements
4 years’ experience in a Fine Dining establishment, preferably in a lead or managerial role
Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
Collaborative and creative approach
Familiar with industry’s best practices
Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
Flexible work schedule including open availability in the evenings and weekends

Education
Culinary Degree or Certification preferred
