Human Resources Generalist


Description
Austin Proper Hotel & Residences is seeking a Human Resources Generalist. This 32-story modern high-rise will include 244 rooms and a limited collection of 99 branded luxury residences and penthouse for sale. Amenities include two rooftop pools, wellness center and spa and three food & beverage destinations driven by McGuire Moorman Hospitality.

The Human Resources Generalist will report directly to the Director of Human Resources and facilitate daily human resources functions including but not limited to recordkeeping of colleague files, recruitment, benefits administration, recognition, etc. The right candidate will be collaborative, approachable, creative, resourceful and visible on property. S/he must possess superior communication and good organizational and time management skills.

Job Overview
- Assist with recruitment; screening applicants, scheduling interviews, conduct employment references for potential colleagues
- Coordinate pre-hire and new-hire paperwork
- Maintain accurate employee records
- Assist with office administrative upkeep
- Strong knowledge in Proper Hospitality Fundamentals and Human Resources policies and procedures

Qualifications
- 2-3 years of previous Human Resources experience required
- Hospitality experience preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Team player
- Ability to exercise good judgement
- Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate time management skills
- Microsoft Office Proficiency / Knowledge of ADP Workforce will be a plus
