Austin Proper Hotel & Residences is seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientated Reservation Agent. This 32-story modern high-rise includes 244 rooms and a limited collection of 99 branded luxury residences and penthouse for sale. Amenities include two rooftop pools, wellness center and spa and three food & beverage destinations driven by McGuire Moorman Hospitality.
The Reservations Agent
will assist the Revenue and Sales teams in the operational requirements of the
department. The ideal candidate is competent in all Reservations Agent tasks,
is enthusiastic about the hotel and culture, and displays a willingness to
learn with a focus on guest satisfaction.
Job Overview
- Manage daily reservations processes and operations to include, but not
limited to, room inventory and availability, monitor group blocks, cut-off
dates, restrictions, occupancy, selling guest rooms, policy and procedure implementation
- Manage and communicate information regarding hotel occupancy, promotion,
special reservation procedures, operational issues, and special events
- Prepare and generate designated reports to be determined by the Director of
Revenue Management
- Proficient in use of language, grammar and style in preparation of verbal and
written messages to convey a clear, concise, friendly, and appropriate message
to staff, clients, guests and business partners.
- Responsible for inputting and managing Wholesale Reservations in PMS and
confirming details back to each Wholesale Partner
- Responsible for rate loading and troubleshooting any and all rate related
issues
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to effectively deal with guest and associate concerns in a friendly
and positive manner.
- Working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint – Opera is a plus
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Previous hospitality experience preferred
Education
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
