JOB SUMMARY:


Provides protection for employees, guest and property


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assures that the property is adequately secure and under surveillance, for example: Keeping an eye out for minors and checking ID’s, cashing out Tito’s left by customers, looking for and reporting any safety hazards. 

  • Inspects and evaluates security equipment

  • Require having good customer service skills, example; getting change, keeping the casino clean and taking care of the guests needs.

  • Keeping a log of and properly storing Lost and Found items.

  • Exercises sound judgment in the planning and organization of proper procedures for security.

  • Filling out incident reports for every code blue and any time when CCPD, DOG or any other outside agency is called.

  • Must be able to perform the table drop, blackjack fills/credits, jackpot/fills and all other security related functions.

  • Establishes and maintains rapport with local law enforcement agencies and other law enforcement personnel in matters of mutual concern.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.


Must possess thorough knowledge of the casino security industry, including but not limited to, slots, blackjack and poker. Thorough knowledge and understanding of Colorado Limited Gaming Act requirements.



Education and/or Experience: High School or Equivalent. A minimum of six (6) months’ experience in the casino industry is desirable.



Language Skills:  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.  Must be able to communicate directly and professionally with all guests and fellow employees. 


Mathematical Skills:  Requires the basic use of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. 


Reasoning Ability:  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:


Must be able to obtain a valid State of Colorado Gaming License.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.


Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time. Requires mobility. Good eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity a must. Must have normal vision, hearing range and absence of color blindness. Must be able to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols. Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds.  Must understand and comply with policies and procedures, job description, daily memoranda and other instructions.

Work is performed in the casino. Staff and heavy customer contact is required. Must be able tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality.
