Barnaby Bars is a fast-growing London chocolate brand, handcrafting premium chocolate and cream bars in small batches using traditional techniques. We pack orders fresh each evening from our Covent Garden location and ship nationwide with fast, tracked UK delivery—so every box needs to look and arrive perfectly.

This role is critical to our customer experience — every box must arrive looking perfect.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for accurately packing customer orders in the evenings from our store back-of-house. You’ll ensure products are packed safely, beautifully and efficiently, ready for courier collection the following morning.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role requiring high attention to detail and strong organisation.

Key Responsibilities

? Order Packing

• Pick and pack customer orders accurately using Shopify/Square order sheets

• Follow packing guidelines to ensure product protection and presentation standards

• Apply correct inserts, marketing materials and labels

• Ensure chilled/frozen/ambient products are packed correctly (where applicable)

? Accuracy & Quality Control

• Double-check all orders before sealing

• Verify shipping addresses and delivery service

• Maintain strict quality standards — no damaged packaging leaves the building

• Flag stock discrepancies or packing issues immediately

? Organisation & Workflow

• Organise orders by courier and dispatch time

• Maintain a clean and structured packing station

• Track completed orders and escalate any missing items

• Assist with stock rotation (FIFO)

? Dispatch Preparation

• Prepare courier collections (Royal Mail / DPD / etc.)

• Scan or manifest parcels where required

• Ensure parcels are ready for morning dispatch

What We’re Looking For

• Extremely detail-oriented (mistakes cost real money)

• Comfortable working independently in the evening

• Reliable and punctual — this shift cannot start late

• Basic computer literacy (Shopify order screens, label printing)

• Previous warehouse / packing / kitchen / retail experience preferred but not required

• Pack 120 boxes per shift (depending on product complexity)
