Maintenance Technician – 6-Month Fixed-Term (with potential to go permanent)

This is a6-month fixed-term contractwith real potential to becomepermanent, so if you’re hands-on, reliable, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, read on. 

Package: 

  • Up to £42k per annum 

  • Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week +weekend on-call availability 

  • Location Dorma Trading Park, Staffa Rd, London E10 7QX, UK

  • 50% discount when not working  

What you’ll do: 

  • Keep our bakery production equipment running at its best with regular preventative maintenance 

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems 

  • Work closely with operators and the production team to solve problems quickly and efficiently 

  • Maintain records of all work using our CMMS system 

  • Support new equipment installations and help commission them into action 

  • Be part of a safety-first culture, ensuring all maintenance is carried out to the highest standard 

  • Stay organised and keep your work area (and tools!) tidy 

  • Be on-call by phone during weekends to offer remote support if needed 

What you’ll bring: 

  • At least4 years’ experiencein a similar maintenance role (preferably in manufacturing or food production) 

  • Atechnical or trade qualification(mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled) 

  • Strong skills in diagnosing and fixing a variety of systems—mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic 

  • Ability to read technical diagrams and use hand and power tools with confidence 

  • A proactive mindset and the ability to work both independently and with others 

  • Familiarity with CMMS software 

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
