Maintenance Technician – 6-Month Fixed-Term (with potential to go permanent)

Package:
Up to £42k per annum
Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week + weekend on-call availability

What you’ll do:
Keep our bakery production equipment running at its best with regular preventative maintenance
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Work closely with operators and the production team to solve problems quickly and efficiently
Maintain records of all work using our CMMS system
Support new equipment installations and help commission them into action
Be part of a safety-first culture, ensuring all maintenance is carried out to the highest standard
Stay organised and keep your work area (and tools!) tidy
Be on-call by phone during weekends to offer remote support if needed
What you’ll bring:
At least 4 years’ experience in a similar maintenance role (preferably in manufacturing or food production)
A technical or trade qualification (mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled)
Strong skills in diagnosing and fixing a variety of systems—mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic
Ability to read technical diagrams and use hand and power tools with confidence
A proactive mindset and the ability to work both independently and with others
Familiarity with CMMS software
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
