WEEKENDS ONLY - Saturday & Sunday from 12noon to 10pm

Based on the original concept in New York, Balthazar offers a seamless blend of French-inspired dishes and classic hospitality. Our commitment to providing spectacular service is woven into the very fabric of Balthazar, where every visit is an invitation to indulge in the artistry of the delicious dishes and meticulously crafted cocktails. 

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Prep Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. As a Prep Chef de Partie, you will play a vital role in the preparation of ingredients, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of our kitchen operations. If you have a passion for culinary arts, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards, we invite you to be a valuable member of the culinary team at our amazing restaurant.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, peeling, and marinating.

- Ensure all mise en place is ready for the kitchen team during service hours.

- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to streamline production processes.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the prep area, following health and safety guidelines.

- Assist in inventory management and rotation of ingredients.

- Contribute to maintaining a positive and efficient working environment.

 

Requirements:

- Culinary education or equivalent experience in a kitchen environment.

- Passion for culinary arts and a desire to grow in the culinary field.

- Strong organizational and communication skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and efficiently manage tasks.

- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
