Commis Chef Bao Bakery – Bao Kings Cross – New Opening
BAO are opening up in Kings Cross and we are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Commis Chef with a keen interest to develop in pastry and baking.
New Opening
Our Kings Cross restaurant will serve Asian dishes in an informal, fast-paced setting over breakfast, lunch and dinner. BAO specialises in ‘xiao chi’ small snacks and ‘bao’ steamed milk buns, each individually made to a secret recipe. The new site will have evolved from the previous sites with an additional focus in showcasing our bakery. It will also have a great coffee offering and private dining and events space.
The Role
As Commis Chef of Bao Bakery, you will be responsible for the preparation of outstanding dishes to wow our guests with particular focus on pastry, maintaining stock levels, following HACCP procedures and training new staff.
If you have the following, then we want to hear from you:
• Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Kitchen Assistant
• Experience in or a passion for Asian cuisine (preferred but not essential);
• A highly creative approach to your work with excellent attention to detail;
• Passionate about hospitality and willing to learn new skills;
• Personable, motivated and an enthusiastic team player.
• A desire to learn and refine skills in baking and pastry.
