We are currently recruiting for a Senior Bartender for our May Fair Bar, located within our 5 Star The May Fair Hotel. As a Senior Bartender, you will play a key role in the daily operation of The May Fair Bar, creating exceptional cocktails, delivering outstanding service, and supporting the Bar Management team in maintaining the highest standards of presentation, quality, and guest satisfaction.

You will act as a brand ambassador for the venue, sharing your expertise and passion for premium beverages while mentoring junior team members and contributing to a dynamic and collaborative working environment.

Overview:

  • Prepare and serve a wide range of classic and contemporary cocktails to the highest standards.
  • Provide exceptional, personalised service to hotel guests and bar patrons.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, champagnes, and premium beverage offerings.
  • Support Bar Managers with daily operations and service standards.
  • Assist in training and mentoring bartenders and bar support staff.
  • Ensure the bar is fully stocked, organised, and prepared for service.
  • Maintain strict adherence to licensing regulations, food safety, and health and safety standards.
  • Handle guest enquiries and resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
  • Contribute creative ideas for seasonal cocktails, promotions, and beverage innovations.
  • Monitor stock levels and minimise waste through effective inventory management.

About You:

  • Previous experience as a Senior Bartender, Head Bartender, or experienced Bartender within a luxury hotel, premium cocktail bar, or high-end hospitality venue.
  • Exceptional cocktail-making skills and strong product knowledge.
  • Passionate about delivering world-class guest experiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Natural leadership abilities with experience coaching and developing team members.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy service environment.
  • Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • WSET or equivalent beverage qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
