Role Summary
At Bar Sardine, we’re looking for a passionate and highly skilled Craft Bartender to join our bar team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for curating and crafting elevated cocktail experiences while engaging guests with genuine hospitality and expert knowledge. As the face of the bar, you’ll balance precision mixology with the warm, approachable service that defines our guest experience. Our mission is to make everyone feel welcome, valued, and inspired—one cocktail at a time.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver warm, personalized hospitality to every guest at the bar and in the dining room
Craft consistently exceptional beverages with a focus on quality ingredients, balanced flavors, and precise execution
Maintain expert-level knowledge of our full beverage program, including seasonal cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine
Recommend and educate guests on beverage pairings with menu items
Keep a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar at all times
Prepare garnishes, syrups, infusions, and other cocktail components to ensure bar readiness
Follow all service, sanitation, and safety standards with precision
Collaborate with team members—including sommeliers, managers, and servers—to ensure smooth, elevated service
Participate in ongoing training in beverage, service, and hospitality
Handle guest feedback or special requests with professionalism and poise
Contribute creatively to cocktail development and seasonal menu changes
Qualifications
2+ years of bartending experience in an upscale, craft cocktail, or high-volume restaurant environment
Deep knowledge and passion for spirits, classic and modern cocktails, beer, and wine
Familiarity with flavor profiles, ingredients, and seasonal trends
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-first mindset
Detail-oriented and clean in execution and workspace
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
Certified in food and alcohol service per local/state regulations
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks related to bar setup and breakdown
