We seek an enthusiastic and highly skilled Lead Bartender to join our exceptional team at the soon opening Bar Moon in Post Oak, a jewel box in the sky and immersive cocktail destination where precision, creativity, and presentation define the guest experience.
Bar Moon is the newest addition to The Bastion Collection, a global leader in fine dining and luxury hospitality with a portfolio distinguished by 10 Michelin Stars and 3 Michelin Keys since 2019.
The Lead Bartender will play a central role in shaping the bar program, creating cocktails that reflect Moon’s evolving character of elegance, intrigue, and indulgence. This is an hourly leadership role responsible for menu development, bar execution, and training of the bar team, while collaborating closely with the Bar General Manager to ensure cocktails are seamlessly integrated into the overall guest experience.
Your Responsibilities:
• Act as the ambassador of Bar Moon’s cocktail program, delivering innovation, artistry, and precision.
• Develop and refine seasonal cocktail menus that balance creativity, refinement, and guest appeal.
• Lead by example in delivering cocktails with flawless technique, speed, and engaging presentation.
• Train, mentor, and support bartenders and barbacks in mixology, service style, and presentation.
• Oversee bar ordering, inventory, and cost control while maintaining premium quality.
• Ensure the bar’s cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with the Bar General Manager to align bar operations with FOH service flow, ensuring a cohesive and elevated guest experience.
• Stay at the forefront of global mixology trends to maintain Bar Moon’s reputation as a world-class cocktail destination.
Your Qualifications:
• 3+ years of bartending experience in luxury hospitality, hotels, or nightlife.
• Mastery of classic cocktails, modern mixology techniques, and deep product knowledge across spirits, liqueurs, and artisanal ingredients.
• A flair for presentation and performance, with confidence to engage guests during service.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide team members in an elevated environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
