Purpose

To contribute to the Company Mission, Vision & values

To work with the team to combine client and company goals and culture.

To contribute to a positive team culture & working environment of equal opportunities, where dignity and respect are the norm and diversity is welcomed and encouraged

To engage in & complete all training both legislative and company as required for your job role detailed in your training plan & ongoing development.  

Achieve all Company & legislative Health & Safety requirements as directed

Ensure clean working practices are maintained

Carry out kitchen duties as requested to assist in smooth running of kitchen area

To maintain and exceed the company standard for exceptional food offer to our customers & to provide a showcase of exceptional food.

To support the team as a whole to achieve clear financial targets.

Help and support line manager & the team with basic preparations for the day to day running of the kitchen.

To support the Head Chef in developing food standards

To step into Head Chef’s shoes when Head Chef is absent

To assist in menu planning and food offer of all areas, incorporating bm concepts and innovations

To assist all stock management processes, including stock take and financial monitoring as required

Assist with staff supervision and development

To achieve & maintain efficient and high standards of food production.

Engage in customer contact to measure success

Contribute to a positive attitude towards learning opportunities within the company

To be an effective communicator with the rest of the kitchen team.

Liaise with the different members of the team to achieve the desired results for the business & client.

To report any issues which will have an adverse effect on the running of the operation

To maintain the food safety files and health & safety records in accordance to BM standards.

Assist the head chef with management & coaching of the team to ensure continuous personal development, customer satisfaction & improvement to standards.

Produce consistently high standards of food in line, in line with time and financial targets set.

Achievement and monitoring of financial and legislative targets

Be part of bm’s Culture of continuous learning by attending culinary forums/craft workshops etc

Incorporate bm concepts and innovations within the business

Keep up to date with food innovations both within bm and on the High Street

Monitor due diligence compliance & Contribute to bm’s ‘green’ culture

A professional chef who can produce menu and food items to meet the standards of the Head Chef with the aim of delighting our customers.
