Description

We are looking for a bubbly and energetic Receptionist to join our Front Office team at The Barnsdale, Rutland.

Our 46-bedroom hotel overlooks the beautiful Rutland landscape with a picturesque courtyard, with a kitchen brigade providing fine dining using many ingredients sourced from the wealth of fine produce found in the locality. Encircled by idyllic surroundings on the north shore of Rutland Water, the hotel is a tranquil rural haven, close to the charming market towns of Oakham and Uppingham.

As part of the reception team, you will be one of the first people to welcome our guests into our beautiful Hotel. You will help to create those enchanting moments which sets the tone for our guests’ visit, whether they have come for a dining experience or an overnight stay. Likewise, you will also be the final person our guests see, and your aim will be to give them a wonderful lasting impression that they will never forget.

We can offer you:

  • An amazing opportunity of joining and being part of a very exciting adventure.
  • An excellent starting salary or hourly rate, plus generous tronc to top up your monthly earnings.
  • Access personalised training, buddy programmes, clear career paths and genuine opportunities for your development.
  • Discounted rates across our restaurants and hotels for you, family and friends to enjoy.
  • Wagestream - access up to 40% of your pay before pay date, and save directly from your salary.
  • 28 days’ holiday + birthday off (including Bank Holidays).
  • Team recognition programme to celebrate your achievements.
  • Referral bonus scheme for recommending top talent - earn up to £300.
  • Flexible scheduling without split shifts.
  • Complimentary team meals on shift.
  • Long Service Awards - lunches for two with all the trimmings, complimentary room stays with breakfast and dinner, Lion King tickets to the West End, and so much more.
  • Industry supplier trips and visits, as well as access to masterclasses and workshops.
  • Flexibility to move across our Group, as you develop with us.
  • Access to apprenticeships and accredited qualifications up to Level 4.

You will:

  • Support the Reception Manager or Supervisor in the overall running of the Front Desk.
  • Be comfortable working with various systems and technology, and take reservations on an ad-hoc basis via the phone.
  • Have an eye for detail and be able to naturally build a relationship with guests which come through our hotel doors each day.
  • Have an understanding of service recovery techniques, and be comfortable in handling guest complaints when they arise.
  • Be a friendly people person and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Be comfortable working independently, but equally as part of a bigger team.
  • Undertake relevant training and development and keen to progress you career though our support.
  • Have at least 1 years' experience in a busy, fast-paced hospitality environment.

At Signet Collection, we believe that our appearance reflects the luxury and elegance our guests expect when they stay with us. As you consider joining our team, we want to remind you of the importance of presenting yourself in a way that reflects our style of hospitality; warm, charming, and polished.

So, if you are dedicated to making each and every guest experience unequivocally brilliant, and have what it takes, we would love to meet you!
