Cluster Financial Controller

Location: Flexible – based either at Hoar Cross Hall (Staffordshire), Eden Hall (Nottinghamshire), or Head Office (Gloucestershire) .

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum.

The Role

You will play a crucial role in driving the financial performance and identifying efficiencies across our hotel and spa properties.

This role will ensure a comprehensive approach to managing financial operations, improving payroll processes, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, leading project management efforts, and effectively communicating with stakeholders

This position requires a proactive individual with a robust finance background in hospitality, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to convert financial insights into actionable strategies. The role includes a blend of office-based tasks and on-site presence at our properties.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the financial operations of the hotel and day spa, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for operational improvement.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline payroll processes and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing regular updates and insights to management.
  • Assist in developing financial models and scenarios to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Lead and/or support strategic projects and initiatives aimed at improving operational performance and profitability.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to senior management and key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Person Specification:       

Essential

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance, with a focus on operational finance, financial analysis, and process improvement.
  • Proven track record of driving financial performance improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry or a related field is required.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full valid driving license, as travel to each of our properties shall be required.

Desirables

  • Experience in the spa industry is desirable.

Further Info:

  • Full-time role and can be based predominately across any of our locations.
  • 40 hours per week.
  • A full valid UK driving licence is required. This role involves a mix of office-based work and on-site presence at our hotel and spa properties. Flexibility to travel between locations is essential.
