Chef David Bouhadana stumbled into the world of sushi in Boca Raton as an 18-year-old waiter when he found his calling and fast-tracked his career to build a resume that rivals even the most established names in the industry today. He spent his early 20’s training in the Kansai region of Japan, learning from the masters and perfecting his craft. When he returned to the states, he began to build his reputation in New York City in the kitchens of restaurants including Sushi Uo and Morimoto. Bouhadana’s energetic personality behind the omakase counter, paired with his expertly-seasoned technical skills, grew him a cult-like following. He’s made a name for himself by recreating Japan’s authentic fast-casual omakase concept with his own signature style. Bouhadana was named one of the top chefs in the country under 30 by Zagat, and recently won a New York Emmy Award for his web series Shokunin: An Eater Series hosted by David Bouhadana. Now he’s serving what he guarantees to be his best omakase yet- infused with his signature style and worthy of his namesake, at Sushi by Boū.
