Description

Salary: Up to £29,000 per annum plus tronc, depending on experience.

Hours: 40 hours per week.

Are you an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can make an immediate impact? Do you enjoy balancing recruitment, payroll and employee relations while delivering exceptional support to managers and colleagues?

We're looking for a proactive and highly organised HR Coordinator to join our HR team on a 12-month maternity cover contract, starting in early November 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of a busy HR function, supporting our people and our business.

As this is a fixed-term role, we are ideally looking for someone with a strong HR background who can work confidently with minimal supervision and add value quickly. The role suits someone experienced across Recruitment, Payroll and Employee Relations, and comfortable managing a varied workload from day one.

The role:

Working closely with our HR Business Partners and HR Administrator, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our HR operations run smoothly and efficiently.

What you’ll do:

  • Supporting end-to-end recruitment activity, from advertising vacancies to onboarding new starters.
  • Delivering a positive recruitment experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
  • Supporting payroll processes by maintaining accurate employee records and processing contractual changes.
  • Working closely with managers to ensure timely and accurate payroll administration.
  • Supporting employee relations processes, including investigations, disciplinary, grievance and absence management procedures.
  • Ensuring policies and procedures are applied consistently and professionally.

Alongside these core areas, you'll support with HR administration, maintain accurate records, produce HR reports, and act as a reliable point of contact for HR queries across the business.

Who you are:

We're seeking someone who can quickly integrate into an established team and add value from the outset.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience within an HR Coordinator, HR Assistant or HR Advisor role.
  • Strong experience across Recruitment, Payroll and Employee Relations.
  • The confidence and capability to work independently.
  • Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience with HR systems (Fourth experience would be advantageous).
  • CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualification (desirable).
