We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Sushi Chef to lead our sushi kitchen with precision, creativity, and excellence in a 5* Luxury Establishment. 

Beaverbrook is a collection of two luxury hotels; our estate surrounded by the Surrey Hills and our Town House in central London.  What binds our hotels together is the Beaverbrook ethos – warmth and thoughtfulness that makes every guest and employee journey unforgettable and that reflects our approach to exceptional experiences.  

In this role, you will:

  • Craft high-quality, visually stunning sushi dishes with exceptional attention to detail and artistry.
  • Mentor junior chefs and train new team members, ensuring growth and development across the kitchen.
  • Manage and support your team, including overseeing holiday requests, conducting probationary reviews, and handling day-to-day employee matters within your department.
  • Uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene at all times.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, creating a positive and productive kitchen culture.
  • Stay current with the latest sushi trends and techniques, continuously innovating and pushing culinary boundaries.

Who You Are:

  • Experienced Leader: Proven experience as a Head Sushi Chef ideally within a 5-star or luxury dining environment, with a strong background in people management.
  • Highly Skilled: Mastery of knife skills and advanced techniques in sushi preparation, with an excellent understanding of traditional and modern sushi styles.
  • Team Mentor: A leader who thrives in a positive environment, who is capable of guiding and inspiring your team to perform at their best.
  • Passionate Professional: Passionate about the culinary arts, consistently striving for excellence and innovation in every dish.
  • Detail-Oriented: Meticulous about quality, presentation, and precision—ensuring every plate is a work of art that delivers an exceptional dining experience.


Salary: £53,000 per annum plus tronc. 


Shift Pattern:

  • This position will be working 45 hours per week, working any 5 days out of 7 including evenings and weekends.
