Description

Reception sits at the heart of the Beaverbrook guest experience. From the moment our guests arrive until the moment they leave, you’ll help make their stay feel effortless, personal and memorable.

Beaverbrook is a two MICHELIN Key hotel and is widely regarded as one of the UK’s leading country house hotels. Working here means being part of an exceptional Estate where the details matter, the surroundings are beautiful and every day brings something different.

Whether you’re looking for your first role in luxury hospitality or already have experience and want to take the next step in your hotel career, this is an opportunity to learn, grow and become part of a team that takes real pride in looking after our guests.

Experience in Reception or luxury hospitality is preferred, but it isn’t essential. We can teach you the systems and the skills. What makes a great Receptionist is the right attitude, personality and genuine desire to look after people.

Full training and support will be provided, with plenty of opportunity to develop your skills and build a long-term career at Beaverbrook.

What you’ll be doing

  • Welcoming guests with warmth and confidence, setting the tone for their stay.
  • Checking guests in and out and making sure every arrival and departure feels smooth and personal.
  • Being a friendly and knowledgeable point of contact throughout their stay, from restaurant reservations and activities to transport and everything in between.
  • Getting to know the Estate, our restaurants, Spa, activities and facilities so you can confidently share information and recommendations.
  • Anticipating what guests might need and finding ways to make their stay feel effortless.
  • Working closely with Porters, Guest Relations and the wider Estate team to make sure everything runs smoothly.
  • Handling requests, queries and unexpected situations with a calm, positive and can-do approach.
  • Using Opera Cloud and other systems to keep guest information and reservations accurate and up to date.
  • Working to LQA standards and helping us maintain the high standards our guests expect.

Who you are

You’ll be warm, engaging and naturally confident around people, with a genuine interest in creating a great experience for every guest. You’ll enjoy meeting new people, building rapport and making service feel genuinely personal rather than scripted.

You’ll be organised, reliable and committed, with the ability to stay calm and positive when things get busy. You’ll be someone who takes initiative, gets stuck in and is happy to help wherever needed.
