Our Welcome Hut is the gate house at the entrance to the Estate and the first point of contact for everyone arriving at Beaverbrook, so first impressions really do matter.
As a Welcome Hut Host, you’ll be the face our members and guests see as they arrive at the Estate. You’ll set the tone for their visit, welcoming people with warmth and confidence and making sure they feel expected, valued and well looked after.
This is a highly visible position and an important part of the Beaverbrook experience. You’ll help ensure the privacy and smooth running of the Estate, while making sure every arrival receives a warm and professional welcome. We’ll trust you to take responsibility for our Welcome Hut, use your judgement and represent Beaverbrook with pride.
What you’ll be doing
Who you are
You’ll be warm, welcoming, and naturally confident around people, with the maturity and presence to make a strong first impression. You’ll enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and understand that a genuine welcome can set the tone for an entire visit.
You’ll take real pride in your appearance and presentation. As one of the most visible members of the Beaverbrook team, you’ll wear your uniform smartly and with pride and understand the importance of looking polished and professional throughout your shift.
You’ll be self-motivated, reliable, and disciplined, with the confidence to work independently, use your initiative and know when to involve the wider team.
You’ll have good judgement and discretion, with an awareness of the importance of guest privacy and the smooth running of the Estate. You’ll be calm under pressure, able to handle unexpected situations sensibly and always maintain a professional and welcoming manner.
Previous experience in hospitality, hotels, front-of-house, concierge, security, or another guest-facing role would be helpful, but we are equally interested in your personality, attitude, and approach.
