Based at: Beaverbrook Golf Club, Reigate Road, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT22 8QX
Salary: £28k to £31k dependant on qualifications and experience plus Food Allowance of £1000 per annum & Annual Member’s Fund Bonus
Beaverbrook Golf Club, a private members 18-hole, luxury golf course is looking for talented and committed Assistant Greenkeepers to join the team. Established in 2016 and located in the heart of the picturesque Surrey Hills, the golf course was designed and constructed by renowned golf course architect David McLay Kidd in collaboration with 8-time major winner Tom Watson.
Working with the most up to date machinery, the greenkeeping team are responsible for maintaining a highly conditioned course with creeping bentgrass greens.
With a strong focus on professional development, the department has a generous budget for training and supports our greenkeepers in the completion of further education, apprenticeships, certified industry training e.g. Pa certification, Chainsaw use etc, support tournament experience, conferences, BTME Continue to Learn and in-house development.
There is also the opportunity for the right candidate to work on in-house construction projects and develop an understanding of irrigation and ecology across the site.
This role requires an experienced greenkeeper looking for a new challenge at a progressive and exclusive golf club.
Requirements:
• NVQ Level 2 greenkeeping qualification (or working towards).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce a high standard of work.
• Good time management and communication skills
• Enthusiastic, motivated individual with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Team player who is also able to use own initiative.
• A good understanding of operating machinery.
• A flexible approach to work, work hours and weekend duties.
• Drive for continued personal development.
Schedule:
• Monday to Friday, 1 in 3 weekends with day off following weekend shift
• 40 hours per week
