The successful candidate will be joining our small Leisure team at The Health and Fitness Club within Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa. We strive to create a great workplace for our staff which includes many staff benefits. Would you like to be part of a great team?

The Position

As a Health & Fitness Club Instructor, you will work as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the Health & Fitness Club and provide an exceptional service to our guests and members.

You will work across all areas of the club, including reception, gym, pool and leisure facilities. The role will combine excellent guest service experience and leisure-club operations with fitness instruction, including gym inductions, group exercise and EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) sessions, which is bonus linked.

You’ll bring enthusiasm and passion to driving the EMS business and delivering this product to clients. You will need to have a professional attitude and be highly motivated with great attention to detail.

This is a full-time position (5 days per week), however part-time hours (from 3 days per week) can be considered.

About You

• You will hold a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification minimum with experience working in a health club or leisure environment.
• Commitment to undertake EMS training and deliver EMS sessions to clients.
• First Aid qualification, or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• Pool Emergency Responder qualification, or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• Pool Plant Room knowledge/qualification or willingness to train in this area.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service and sales skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a busy leisure environment.
• Ability to work in an organised and methodical manner.
• Qualified and willing to deliver/cover appropriate group exercise classes within the studio (desirable).
