1 The Island Quarter is an ambitious and exciting real estate development of a 36 acre freehold site in the heart of Nottingham, a development that has been ongoing since 2016 when the land was acquired.

Binks Yard

Our Binks Yard team care about our guests, from our front of house team welcoming you in, our bar team serving up not only drinks but an experience and our kitchen team creating a plate that excites and delights you.  They care about each other as well as our guests, our open plan kitchen allows you to see the dishes being crafted and our team will focus on ensuring Binks Yard becomes a regular occurrence for your occasions.

The kitchen is your natural habitat – you enjoy seeing a team thrive during service and hearing the guest compliments coming back through.  Not only will you be supporting the Executive Chef with designing the menu, using ingredients that tantalise and excite, but you’ll be there with your team making these dishes and using your fine dining cooking skills and your passion for detail and innovation.

A natural leader you will be supporting the Executive Chef whilst developing the talent below you, allowing them to gain the knowledge needed to become the next Sous Chef.  You make sure that all team members have a development plan.  Managing food margins and wastage is second nature to you, writing rotas and hitting labour margins whilst delivering profit is something you have done in previous roles and will bring to this one.

A 5* food hygiene rating is your bread and butter, you manage your team to be audit ready at all times, and food safety is paramount – you put your guests as your priority.
