Job Advert: Seasonal Events Bar Manager

Location: BINKS YARD
Contract: Fixed-term – (April / September)
Hours: 35 +, flexible (including evenings/weekends)
Salary: £15.00 PER HOUR

Are you an organised, energetic events professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments with solid F & B experience? We’re looking for a Seasonal Events Bar Manager to lead the planning and delivery of our summer events programme, ensuring unforgettable experiences for visitors while keeping operations running smoothly and safely.

This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who loves live events, can juggle multiple priorities, and leads teams with confidence and positivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver the beverage programme on a pre-planned, well programmed event season
  • Lead from the front - build, mentor, develop and inspire a strong, competent, experienced and diverse bar team
  • Oversee event operations on-site including opening and closing down the venue. Keyholder.
  • Quality control on products, maintaining regular checks to ensure customers are receiving the best products as efficiently as we can.
  • Liaise with the bar operations manager, assistant bar manager and supervisors to ensure communication is kept and things run smooth.
  • Monitor Stocking levels and variances. Keeping pars and working alongside the Cost controller on discrepancies.
  • Weekly line checks and Monthly stock takes.
  • Train and manage seasonal staff in all areas of customer service, bartending skill and self-presenting.
  • Have a complete understanding of food safety, allergens and health and safety, always ensuring the safety of our customers. Ensuring the compliance of the venue and the event itself, according to health and safety and licensing.

·       Accident/incident reporting

  • Monitor event performance and visitor feedback especially beverage related

Job Specification: Seasonal Events Operations Manager

Job Purpose

To manage the planning, coordination, and delivery of the beverage programme in Binks Yard’s 2026 summer events , ensuring events are safe, energetic and financially successful .

Reporting To

Jack Dorman, Bar operations manager of IQ

Key Duties

  • Lead on-site event running, multi-bar and over 35 staff members.
  • Work closely with the operations manager and other managers with clear communication.
  • Be prepared.
  • Line-manage seasonal event bartenders, oversee training and discipline.
  • Liaise with all events managers to make sure not only the bars are running great but you are keeping up to date to changes in schedule and procedure to adapt quickly and effectively.
  • Manage documentation for bar, Opening and closing check lists, weekly cleaning schedules. Stock in and stock out. Financial awareness of products and till programming.  Overall safety of the team and the bars.
  • Be flexible and adaptable.
  • Handle visitor queries and guest feedback,
  • Evaluate events and recommend improvements for future seasons regarding the beverage programmes.

Desirable Criteria

  • Proven experience in bar management, festivals, or live music entertainment
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Experience in people management
  • Knowledge of health & safety and event compliance
  • Extensive knowledge in the Beverage sector, Cellar maintenance, spirits expertise and cocktails.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
